Subject: When are you going to stand up and fight for our country?

Republican-majority states are now designated "red" but it is the Democrat-won states that should be designated "red" for their socialist conversion. The GOP did not fight back when the Dems talked Tim Russert into switching the colors; PBS was the first liberal media lap-dog to change a Republican "blue" state win into red.  Such a simple thing. But an important psychological one; the Democrats' first step into controlling the GOP in every election since. Why didn’t the GOP fight back? Why don’t you fight back NOW?

When the liberal media insisted on tagging President G.W. Bush a "liar" why didn’t you stand up and defend him?

When Katie Couric started the liberal media attacks against your own vice presidential nominee, Governor Sarah Palin, why didn’t you defend her against all those horrible bullying tactics? Why didn’t you stand up and fight for her?

When the liberal media led by the Democrats unleashed the same bullying tactics against Meg Whitman, Carly Florina, Sharron Angle, Christine O’Donnell and Mia Love, why didn’t you defend them?  Now you see how the Dems have tagged you with a "war against women" and it’s too late to fight back on that one!

When John Roberts backed down and changed his stance for ObamaCare, why didn’t you call him out? Ask him what they had on him that made him change his mind so abruptly and firmly.  Why didn’t you fight back? Now look at the mess we’re stuck with – and it could well be too late to fight back.

Why don’t you fight back when the liberal media attack strong Republican voices like Senator Ted Cruz, Senator Rand Paul or Senator Mike Lee – oh, no, my mistake! It’s YOU who are attacking them; your own fierce, bright Republican leaders in the Senate! A Senate where your so-called "leader" Mitch McConnell doesn’t have the cajones to stand up and fight for anything!

Don’t you realize that if you allow Obama and Reid to turn our country into a one-party system we become a socialist State; a dictatorship? Don’t you think it’s time the Republican Party stood up and started fighting back? You had a fighter in Michael Steele who actually WON the House back from Pelosi for YOU! So what do YOU do? YOU fire him! Unbelievable. You should have fired everyone who lost the 2012 election and stuck us with 4 more years of Obama/Reid tyranny. Now you have milk-toast Reince Pribus – still! And the same old white boys in charge as "leaders" when what you need are leaders with backbone; leaders with fire in their bellies to win.

The days of Jeb Bush, Carl Rove, McConnell, Reince Preibus, John McCain and Lindsey Graham are over! Can’t you see that? When are you going to sweep OUT all the old RINO’s and get some fresh, young firebrands out there as your leaders – and back them up when the Dems and their media lap-dogs bully them!

Please. Take a stand for the founding principles of the United States of America. That’s the least you can do for your country. You’ve done so little in the past. The freedom of our Republic depends upon fresh, fiery leadership from the GOP.

Did Lincoln Omit "Under God" From his Speech?

Did Lincoln Omit "Under God" From the Gettysburg Address?
There’s an interesting debate surrounding whether Lincoln actually included "God" in the delivery of his "Gettysburg Address." In the Nicolay and Hay versions — the two that preceded the event — there is no mention of the Almighty. It wasn’t until the Everett version, which was produced after the address, that "under God" was added into the transcript. We will never truly know if Lincoln uttered the Lord’s name during the speech, as it was not recorded. However, based on the AP version of the
speech which was transcribed and published at the time —  Lincoln did, indeed use those words during the delivery of his famous speech.

A look at the AP text, as published nearly 150 years ago, seems to provide the answer (see bold):
"Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth upon this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. [Applause] Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a general battle-field of that war; we are met to dedicate a portion of it as the final resting place of those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this, but in a larger sense we cannot dedicate, we cannot consecrate, we cannot hallow this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it far above our poor power to add or detract. [Applause] The world will note, nor long remember, what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. [Applause]. It is for us, the living, rather to be dedicated here to the unfinished work that they have thus far so nobly carried on. [Applause]. Four of the versions mention God, two don't. Why do you think Obama chose one that did NOT mention GOD?

According to AP at the time of the Gettysburg address, President Lincoln did include the words "under God" in his  speech.  Obama chose to omit the God word. Why?

Veterans Day

Veterans Day is almost here again and we are still receiving body bags and wounded soldiers from the Middle East. I think it is time we put an end to this insanity.  There is nothing in all the Muslim world that is worth fighting for, and certainly not worth sacrificing any U.S. soldier's life for, yet we keep sending our young men and women into harms way for a people who will hate us forever, regardless of what we do for them. We are, to them, infidels and should be destroyed.  Now we won't get into statistics concerning our fallen warriors there because one site will show numbers that differ from other sites. All I can say is far too many of our young people have been maimed or killed already and it is time to bring them all home.  Let's put our fine soldiers to effective good use protecting our own borders and forget about other country's borders; let the Middle East Islamic countries fight among themselves; let's just leave them long to war among themselves as they have done for centuries.  I have never been involved in any antiwar movement in my long life, but now the hardworking taxpaying citizens of the USA must step up and speak out end this insanity, this destruction of our warriors, the pain and suffering of their families. What we must do now is fight for them; save our young people's lives; bring them ALL home. Our country is in such a mess now, we really can't worry about other countries. Our country is in a mess, our government in disarray, mired in economic disasters that need attention right now. e must all pull together to work hard to restore the values, the honor, the integrity, the freedoms so valiantly fought for and hard-won by Veterans of the past.  We will never be able to thank all our Veterans, both past and present, for their great sacrifices, but on this one day of the year we can honor them and make sure that they are not forgotten.  This Veterans Day please stop and thank a Veteran; may God bless them all.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — His boyhood friends in Indonesia were street peddlers, and his grandmother still lives in a mud-walled house in Kenya.
But Barack Obama is another world away, presiding over the Harvard Law Review as the first black president in the prestigious journal’s 103-year history.
The charismatic 28-year-old, ensconced in the halls where tradition reigns, is taking aim at another custom: Obama’s sights are set on the South Side of Chicago, not on a U.S. Supreme Court clerkship or a fast-track career with, a cushy firm.
"I’m not interested in the suburbs. The suburbs bore me. And I’m not interested in isolating myself," Obama said in a recent interview. "I feel good when I’m engaged in what I think are the core issues of the society, and those core issues to me are what’s happening to poor folks in this society." His passion is rooted in his background. He was born in Hawaii, his father an Oxford and Harvard-educated economist from the African nation of Kenya, his mother a white anthropologist from Kansas. (Really? An antropologist? All I know for sure is that she managed to travel the Marxist-Socialist World on a dime provided by Tim Geithner's dad!)
Obama moved to Southeast Asia at age 2 when his parents divorced and his mother married an Indonesian. Until the fifth grade. Obama attended Indonesian schools, where most of his friends were the sons of servants, street peddlers and farmers.
Concern for Obama’s education led his mother to return him to Hawaii, where he attended public schools through high school. In 1983, he graduated from Columbia University with a degree in political science. (So, where are all those college records?)
At a recent meeting in a Harvard cafeteria, his affinity with the underdog was readily apparent. "I lived in a country where I saw extreme poverty at a very early age," Obama said. "Parts of my family in Kenya remain very poor. My grandmother still lives in a mud-walled house with no running water or electricity.
"That’s who I am, that’s where I come from, not always literally, but at least emotionally."
Obama entered Harvard Law School in 1988, and through a combination of grades and a writing competition, was elected to head the law review this February. He succeeded Peter Yu, a first generation Chinese-American. Obama cautions against reading too much into his election.
"It’s crucial that people don’t see my election as somehow a symbol of progress in the broader sense, that we don’t sort of point to a Barack Obama any more than you point to a Bill Cosby or a Michael Jordan and say ‘Well, things are hunky dory,’" Obama said.
"There’s certainly racism here. There are certain burdens that are placed, more emotionally at this point than concretely," Obama said.
"Professors may treat black students differently, sometimes by being, sort of, more dismissive, sometimes by being more, sort of, careful because they think, you know, they think that somehow we can’t cope in the classroom," he said.
Obama sees the inner cities as the front lines of racism.
"It’s critical at this stage for people who want to see genuine change to focus locally. And it is crucial that we figure out how to rebuild the core of leadership and institutions in these communities," he said.
For five years before law school, Obama took on that task in Chicago. As the director of a program that tried to bring South Side churches, unions and block associations together on projects, Obama was not trying to solve local problems, he said. Instead he sought to construct something more lasting — a forum for the community, "I’m interested in organizations, not movements, because movements dissipate and organizations don’t," Obama said.
America suffered when the movements of the 1960s dissipated, he said. Those movements succeeded in raising doubts about harmful traditions of sexism and racism, but failed to offer a viable alternative.
"Hopefully, more and more people will begin to feel their story is somehow part of this larger story of how we’re going to reshape America in a way that is less mean-spirited and more generous," Obama said.
"I mean, I really hope to be part of a transformation of this country. "And the future of black people and of America generally? "It depends on how good I do my job," he said.

Obama's scandals paint a "reshape" and a "transformation" that NO one wants! This is worse than any 1984 Orwellian prophesy!

Will we ever get the truth?

Hi Citizens, are you getting tired of all the lies and the bull-$#!% yet? We are getting nothing from this Administration but smoke and mirrors, lies, and more lies. How can this President pretend to BE a working President when he spends all his time away from the White House -- traveling to yet another fundraiser, on yet another campaign junket, or on vacation, or on some golf course somewhere; anywhere but at work in the White House.  Maybe we're lucky he's never there -- but just WHO is running our country on a day-to-day basis?  He can't . . . he's never there . . . so who is? WHO answers those 3am phone calls?

The U.S. Soldier: Who's Got Your Back?

General Stanley Petraeus was a highly decorated four-star general serving over 37 years in the United States Army. His last assignments in the Army were as commander of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and Commander, U.S. Forces Afghanistan (USFOR-A) from July 4, 2010 to July 18, 2011.

Who in the top echelon of the military command granted full access for a biographer (a beautiful young woman) to interview Petraeus extensively overseas in a dangerous war zone like Afghanistan in the first place???

Who authorized the search of his "private" e-mails?

Who set out to destroy his career and why?

Why was Clinton's presidency NOT ended when he turned the oval office into the "oral" office? What about all the Kennedys and their never-ending scandals? No career changers anywhere, any time for any of the Kennedy "boys" at all. Ever.

　
Stanley Allen McChrystal

was a top U.S. Army General who served in high-level positions of leadership in Iraq and Afghanistan. McChrystal was forced to retire after Rolling Stone Magazine published a damaging article; an article of questionable veracity.

Who granted access to a top general like McChrystal to the likes of a liberal rock 'n roll doper-rag like Rolling Stone in the first place? Did they expect a sterling interview of national importance? 

  Rolling Stone could have interviewed Joe Biden in a jacuzzi in the Rose Garden for a much more viable article on what the VP really views as a "big f-----g deal" than the hatchet job done on McChrystal.

Recently, a young collegiate basketball player broke his leg while playing a game.

A tragedy for sure, but the media pounded out news about this sports star for days. Also recently, a young U.S. soldier was killed in Afghanistan while playing ball with some children when a 16-year-old Afghan boy crept up behind him and stabbed him in the neck. That was news for about a minute. Guess which one will never play ball again? Now that's a "big f-----g deal" Mr. Vice President.

The current Administration has denied Purple Hearts to the soldiers killed or wounded in the Fort Hood terrorist attack, claiming this massacre was "a work place incident". . .

If you are a U.S. soldier stationed in Iraq or Afghanistan and you are killed by terrorists, is that a work place incident?  Soldiers are ordered to serve this nation in Iraq/Afghanistan, just as those soldiers were serving this nation at the Ft. Hood base when they were massacred by a crazed Islamic terrorist.  Wounded, killed in the line of duty, but no Purple Heart medal for the Ft. Hood victims of terrorism.  This Administration showing once again it's disdain for our Military; another "big f------g deal" Joe.

Today our amazing country somehow keeps churning out outstanding young men and woman willing to step up and go to war on behalf of a grateful nation. Will that miracle continue now that NO ONE in top leadership positions in our own Government seem to give a damn about them? NO ONE in our Federal Government seems to care enough to make sure VA benefits remain intact for ALL returning warriors.  NO ONE is even getting military ballots out in time for our serving soldiers to vote -- and who is making an EXTRA effort to even COUNT the votes that do manage to get back home???

Our present Administration is intent on cutting funding to our military -- even with two wars ongoing, crazy leaders in North Korea rattling sabres again, and Iran on the verge of acquiring nuclear weapon capability. The VA Administration is now under fire for NOT providing well-earned benefits for ALL our returning wounded warriors. Something's just not right here.

Have you ever wondered why the U.S. Military seems to be under an all-out assault -- an assault from within???

If you know of any civilian support group that is actually making a difference (besides the Wounded Warrior Project) please let me know. Someone has to step up and STOP this assault on our soldiers and it looks like it will have to be us; all grateful, patriotic U.S. citizens.

Keep asking this question: Why should a person who has never served a day of his life in the military be allowed to be Commander in Chief? That's just plain stupid. In closing, I would like to say that after seeing our current president try to play basketball -- 2 out of 22 hoop shots? Come on! He plays basketball just as he plays at being president: Mis-guided. Mis-calulating. Mis-taken. Mis-leading. Mis-direction. Mis-representing.  And oh, so-oo stubborn. It is clear that President Pinocchio is a better basketball player than he is president. Would the US Military Turn on its Own Citizens in the USA?
The Inconvenient Truths that History Teaches Us

I know you are proud of any son or daughter now proudly serving in our U.S. Military.

I, too, am proud of all our Military Warriors, past and present. I stand in awe of ordinary young men and women who so willingly, and bravely, step foward to risk life and limb for our nation.

Question: Would a son or daughter of yours serving in our Military ever, ever, turn their weapon in your direction and fire upon you . . or your neighbors . . . or any other U.S. citizen in the USA?

Difficult question. What if your son's Sargeant ordered him to fire? What if that Sargeant had to obey the order to fire that came from his superior; the officer in charge? What if that order to fire came from our Government; directly from our President, the Commander-in-Chief??? Who would dare disobey???

Recently, Senator Rand Paul stepped forward on the floor of the Senate to ask our sitting president such a question: Would he order the use of military "predator drones" to kill U.S. citizens on U.S. soil? Some 30,000 such drones have already been approved by the FAA for use in our country -- and yes, droves are already flying over our heads this very day in the USA. It took 13-plus exhausting hours of filibustering by Senator Rand -- complete with a brilliant tutorial on our Constitution and laws already shredded by our current president -- to get the attention of the White House and to illicit a written response; a vague kind of "no" to his courageous question.

Now, the question that we ALL must ask is: Do we believe this president? Do we have faith that our current Big-Brother-Government will do the right thing???

Unfortunately, history gives us many inconvenient truths and very worrisome answers to ponder because this question about abusive Big Government is not a "new" one. The horrific, bloody answers are awful, eye-opening, and heart-stopping. But, please take a little time to watch and listen. We must all be on the alert and ever viligant to ensure our hard-earned, sacred freedoms are protected from frightening abuse.

How a dictator rose to power, TAKE NOTE!

Is history repeating itself?  You be the judge.  Here are some facts -- all facts that you can verify on the 'net for yourself.  Fellow U.S. citizens, we must pay attention, be ever vigilant as our Constitutional rights are all under attack.  This is not a test . . .

During Hitler's rise to power he used a private army he called the Brown Shirts to intimidate opponents. He had to be careful in doing this because he wanted and needed public support. The use of fear really came into being just days after he became Chancellor in 1933. He had the Reichstag burned down then used the "emergency" to seize complete control. He then outlawed the Catholic and Communist political parties, his chief opponents, and arrested their leaders. His Brown Shirts launched into a reign of terror, arresting, beating, even killing random people across the nation. By law none could be held to account. The purpose was to "re-educate" the population, to cow them into submission so they would not dare stand up to the regime.  It worked.

Hitler controlled Germany in many ways after he became chancellor in 1934. He used propaganda effectively, using his SS and Gestapo as enforcers. Using the "Enabling Act" which he pushed through after the Reichstag fire, Hitler was able to pass any new law that he wanted.  He got rid of ALL his political opponent by turning Germany into a ONE party state -- the Nazi State . 

Hitler's use of propaganda, putting Josef Goebbels in charge of organising "Hitler over Germany", gained him more supporters as people saw nothing and heard nothing -- except whatever Hitler wanted them to see and hear.

The SS and Gestapo put fear into Germany, by performing killings. They were trained to shoot people without giving any second thoughts. Hitler used the Gestapo to interrogate the German people, and they sent many of Hitler's enemies to concentration camps where they were put under the mercy of the brutal SS.

Hitler also got rid of all priests in churches, as he thought that they were spreading anti- Nazi beliefs. He got rid of them and put his own men in charge of them instead. Political opponents went to concentration camps or prison as political prisoners, opponents in the Army were given postings in North Africa and then later in Russia on the Eastern Front, social opponents were suppressed by the police or arrested & sent to concentration camps.


To control the minds of the young of Germany, Hitler made the "Hitler Youth". This was like boy scouts. Boys there were taught under the Nazi Racial Ideology, and learned about Nazi history.

The interesting thing about Nazi Germany was that with the socialisation of people towards Nazi life, there was little outward resistance, but there were lots of underground movements & a niche society developed -- people conformed in public & rebelled in Private

As a form of government, National Socialism is totalitarian in character aiming at the total control of all politics, economy, social relationships and thought, by a small group which claims to understand how to cope with all aspects of human existence.
The word "Socialist" in the name of the Nazi Party did not refer to the nationalization of the means of production but rather to requiring the economy to serve the interests of the Party.

Hitler succeeded in reducing unemployment by initiating public works projects, including the construction of superhighways (autobahns), and establishing the Labor Service to provide jobs for young workers who could not find employment in the private sector. In 1936, the Four Year Plan was launched with the purpose of promoting economic self-sufficiency and of mobilizing the economy for war.

But Hitler loved children, didn't he?

A HISTORY LESSON

Hi Folks,

How about a little history lesson. Since we are always hearing about history repeating itself, here are a few facts about one of the most heinous despots in history. These are not presented with the intention of comparing with anyone else, just for information only. This will help us understand how Hitler conquered almost all of Europe and Western Asia. Hitler was a Socialist. If you happen to see any of these happening today in The United States, maybe we better start worrying. Here goes:

•Hitler had a DEEP dislike for Jews.
•Hitler was a great speaker that energized his base.
•Hitler alienated the opposition, causing mass division.
•Hitler took over the country's leading auto factories.
•Hitler promised massive entitlements to his base.
•Hitler promised jobs for everyone, and failed miserably.
•Hitler was into symbolism (swastika, skulls, lightning bolts, etc.)
•Hitler had a "god" complex.
•Hitler was raised in a country other than the one he ended up leading.
•Hitler hated capitalism and preferred socialism.
•Hitler was deeply ingrained with propaganda.
•Hitler nationalized health care, banned guns, and banned free speech.
•Hitler was put in power by bullying, deception, lies and threats.
•Hitler declared the right to order any dissident to be arrested or killed.
•Hitler was adored by those who didn't listen to him.
•Hitler declared himself to be the savior of his country.
•Hitler changed his predecessors history to suit his agenda.
•Hitler promoted dissension within communities.
•Hitler censored and controlled the media.
•Hitler's father abandoned him in his youth.
•Hitler used drugs.
•Hitler wrote autobiographical books which was used as propaganda in his elections.
•Hitler was TIME's man of the year.
•Hitler used the unions to gain power.

One of the very first things Hitler did was to confiscate all privately owned guns.

Now you can take these facts and do what you will. Me, personally, am afraid for our country. Although I don't own any guns, I'm seriously contemplating the purchase of one. Maybe we should all do the same. I fear time is short and you can call me any names you like, it won't change the facts. We are in trouble.

Those who ignore history are destined to repeat it.

DRONES, DRONES, WHO'S GOT THE DRONES

IS THERE A DRONE IN YOUR LIFE?  You bet there is. In fact there are approximately 30,000 in the United States right now.

STEAMROLLER ALERT -- Big News -- A memo leaked from the DOJ recently made it perfectly clear that Barack Obama and his Big Drone Eric Holder thinks that the government-sanctioned killing of American citizens without warrant, without any defense attorney, without any evidence presented in any court is now "legal" -- and that does include the use of drones to do so. Already been done overseas, taking out alleged terrorists who held American citizenship, but how about the use of drones in the skies of the United States of America? Let's check out a few facts about the "military drone" and its use, now being condoned for domestic use against taxpaying citizens of the USA:

Surveillance drones or unmanned aerial systems (UAS's) raise significant issues for privacy and civil liberties. Drones are capable of advanced surveillance, and drones already in use by law enforcement can carry various types of equipment including live-feed video cameras, infrared, heat sensing, radar and phone tapping capabilities. Let's not forget stinger missiles and other weaponry we haven't heard of. How about Gatling guns, you remember those little buggers from Viet Nam. Maybe a sniper rifle with a sophisticated aiming system. Remember Ruby Ridge and Waco? Do you think the government would have used them then? Don't you doubt it for one minute.

Some drone models can stay in air for hours or days at a time, and their high-tech cameras can scan entire cities, or read a milk carton from 60,000 feet. They can also carry wifi crackers and fake cell phone towers that can determine your location or intercept your texts and phone calls. Drone manufacturers even admit they are made to carry "less lethal" weapons such as tasers or rubber bullets.

Thanks to a provision in the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012, the use of drones right here in the United States is about to explode over the next few years. The Act includes provisions to make the licensing process easier and quicker for law enforcement, and by 2015, commercial entities will also be able to apply for drone authorization. How about your employer watching you from a drone? Possible.

11 Points Of Comparison Between Life In The United States And Life Under Hitler From A Woman Who Has Experienced Both

Have you ever heard of Kitty Werthmann? She was a child when Adolf Hitler took control of her beloved country of Austria and stripped away their freedoms, and she is now speaking out about the chillingly similar loss of freedoms that we are currently experiencing in the United States. It is often said that "those who forget history are doomed to repeat it". So, perhaps we should listen very carefully to what Kitty Werthmann has to say. She has been there. She has lived through it. The truth is that when you do sit down and compare what happened under the Nazi regime and what is happening in the United States today, the parallels are absolutely shocking. The American Dream is not guaranteed for us or for our children. Freedom must be guarded. If not, it will be taken away. In fact, our freedoms are already being stripped away at blinding speed, and once they are gone they are incredibly difficult to get back.

The quotes from Kitty Werthmann that you will read below come from her excellent article entitled, "America  is the Greatest Country in the World."  We hope that you will take the time to read that entire article after you read this one. Sometimes it is really important to get some historical perspective in order to understand what is happening today. The following are 11 points of comparison between life in the United States and life under Hitler from a woman who has experienced both….


#1)  Severe Economic Crisis
Kitty Werthmann describes the economic conditions just before Hitler took over this way….

In 1938, Austria was in deep Depression. Nearly one-third of our workforce was unemployed. We had 25% inflation and 25% bank loan interest rates. Farmers and business people were declaring bankruptcy daily.

#2)  Election Of A Wildly Popular Leader
I believe that I am an eyewitness to history. I cannot tell you that Hitler took Austria by tanks and guns; it would distort history. We elected him by a landslide 98% of the vote. I’ve never read that in any American publications. Everyone thinks that Hitler just rolled in with his tanks and took Austria by force.

#3)  An Obsession With Law & Order
After the election, German officials were appointed, and like a miracle, we suddenly had law and order.

#4)  Women Were Taught That Work Was More Important Than Family
Hitler decided we should have equal rights for women. Before this, it was a custom that married Austrian women did not work outside the home. An able-bodied husband would be looked down on if he couldn’t support his family. Many women in the teaching profession were elated that they could retain the jobs they previously had been required to give up for marriage.

#5)  Children Raised In Daycare Facilities
When the mothers had to go out into the work force, the government immediately established child care centers. You could take your children ages 4 weeks to school age and leave them there around-the-clock, 7 days a week, under the total care of the government. The state raised a whole generation of children. There were no motherly women to take care of the children, just people highly trained in child psychology. By this time, no one talked about equal rights. We knew we had been had.

#6)  Christianity Drubbed Out Of The Schools
Our education was nationalized. I attended a very good public school. The population was predominantly Catholic, so we had religion in our schools. The day we elected Hitler (March 13, 1938), I walked into my schoolroom to find the crucifix replaced by Hitler’s picture hanging next to a Nazi flag. Our teacher, a very devout woman, stood up and told the class we wouldn’t pray or have religion anymore. Instead, we sang Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Alles, and had physical education.

#7)  Socialized Healthcare
Before Hitler, we had very good medical care. Many American doctors trained at the University of Vienna . After Hitler, health care was socialized, free for everyone. Doctors were salaried by the government. The problem was, since it was free, the people were going to the doctors for everything. When the good doctor arrived at his office at 8 a.m., 40 people were already waiting and, at the same time, the hospitals were full. If you needed elective surgery, you had to wait a year or two for your turn. There was no money for research as it was poured into socialized medicine. Research at the medical schools literally stopped, so the best doctors left Austria and emigrated to other countries.

#8)  Government Handouts Became A Way Of Life
As for healthcare, our tax rates went up to 80% of our income. Newlyweds immediately received a $1,000 loan from the government to establish a household. We had big programs for families. All day care and education were free. High schools were taken over by the government and college tuition was subsidized. Everyone was entitled to free handouts, such as food stamps, clothing, and housing.

#9)  Oppressive Government Regulations
We had another agency designed to monitor business. My brother-in-law owned a restaurant that had square tables. Government officials told him he had to replace them with round tables because people might bump themselves on the corners. Then they said he had to have additional bathroom facilities. It was just a small dairy business with a snack bar. He couldn’t meet all the demands. Soon, he went out of business.

#10)  Gun Restrictions
Next came gun registration. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long after-wards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily.

#11)  Lack Of Respect For Life
In 1944, I was a student teacher in a small village in the Alps. The villagers were surrounded by mountain passes which, in the winter, were closed off with snow, causing people to be isolated. So people intermarried and offspring were sometimes retarded. When I arrived, I was told there were 15 mentally retarded adults, but they were all useful and did good manual work. I knew one, named Vincent, very well. He was a janitor of the school. One day I looked out the window and saw Vincent and others getting into a van. I asked my superior where they were going. She said to an institution where the State Health Department would teach them a trade, and to read and write. The families were required to sign papers with a little clause that they could not visit for 6 months. They were told visits would interfere with the program and might cause homesickness.

As time passed, letters started to dribble back saying these people died a natural, merciful death. The villagers were not fooled. We suspected what was happening. Those people left in excellent physical health and all died within 6 months. We called this euthanasia.

We would be incredibly foolish not to listen to the wisdom of Kitty Werthmann. She saw what kind of horror is created when God is pushed out of public life, and the government becomes the new "god".

But that is what is happening in the United States today. God has been pushed aside. Suddenly the government is the answer to all of our problems: the provider of all of our needs, and the regulator of every single detail of our lives.

We are marching down a very dangerous path. It is a path that many nations have gone down before with absolutely disastrous consequences.

Americans have to wake up. Please send this information out to as many people as you can. If we will not speak out about the need to protect our freedoms now, we will not have the chance to do it later.
　

Like most of us do with these kinds of forwards, I was ready to assume it was fake or misattributed and move on. Snopes itself was still researching the matter, listing it as "undetermined" as of January 6, 2013. But to my surprise, both the email and Kitty Werthmann are perfectly real. She did live through the Nazi occupation of Austria, and since emigrating to the US in the 50′s, she’s given hundreds of speeches, written a book, produced a DVD and made television appearances, all in the service of spreading a laudable message that must be repeated, lest it ever be forgotten.

Would our military fire on US

A few days ago Freda and I were talking about how bleak things look in the country today. She asked, "do you think if a bunch of protestors that Obama didn't like ever got rowdy in front of the White House that our soldiers would open fire on their fellow citizens?"  I told her I really didn't know, but I do know that they' re duty bound to carry out and follow all orders given by superior officers or the Commander In Chief. Just a niggling worry; an idle conversation. Then today I received an e-mail from an old Navy shipmate which drove the point home very clearly. I hope you all take time to watch this 1932 video.
